There was once a time when coffee was seen as unhealthy, but research has discovered over time that coffee is not only not unhealthy, but may even come with health benefits. For example, coffee contains antioxidants that can protect the body from damaging free radicals. Instead, what causes coffee to be harmful are the other additives used to reduce the bitterness.

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk provides the same level of creaminess as milk or creamer. However, it is lactose-free and is also also rich in calcium and iron. You can purchase coconut milk yourself or you can make it with coconuts and water.

Milk And Honey

Rather than using a creamer that has added sugar, consider using real milk and adding honey. Natural sweetener are much better for you than honey and will be just as effective at sweetening your drink. A great way to add a further burst of flavor to your drink is to add some cinnamon.

Almond Milk

Almond milk is another option found at the store that is healthy, but closely mimics real coffee. One cup is full of B-12, vitamin A and vitamin D. You can also make almond milk yourself with water and almonds. If you would like more flavor added to the drink, add dark chocolate or vanilla. However, be careful with adding too many sugars.

Your Own Homemade Coffee Creamer

Another option is to make a coffee creamer that is a healthier alternative to what is sold at the stores. For example, you can create your own coffee creamer with cashews, purified ater, sea salt and maple syrup or raw honey. You can also add pure vanilla extract if you would like to make  your own duplicate of vanilla coffee creamers. Experiment with proportions until you find a combination that is the most satisfying.

Mix Cocoa And Cinnamon Into Your Coffee Grounds

Rather than focusing on what you can add to your coffee after you brew it, consider making modifications to your coffee grounds to make them sweeter. For example, consider adding cinnamon and cocoa to the coffee grounds. Then, brew them and add milk afterward.

If you are used to adding creamer to your milk, it can be difficult to get used to adding other alternatives to your drink. But with more experimentation, you will be able to find the combination that will make your coffee taste less bitter while still being great for you.
